About the Online Timer
The simplest online timer for studying, cooking, workouts and breaks. Use a one-click preset for common times or type any number of minutes and seconds. When the time is up you get a sound and a flashing screen, and the countdown also shows in the browser tab title so you can watch it from another tab.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use the online timer?
Press Start and the countdown begins. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
Will the alarm sound if I switch to another tab?
Yes. The timer works from the exact end time, so it stays accurate while you use other tabs. You need to press Start once so the browser allows sound, and closing the tab stops the timer.
I can't hear the alarm.
Check your device volume and make sure the browser tab is not muted. Sound is only allowed after you press Start. You can also press the Sound test button to hear it in advance.
